There are not any private schools or children's institutions on the municipality's territory.
493 children, divided into 25 groups, are raised and educated in the all-day children's institutions and the half-day kindergartens of the schools. There are 129 divisions with 2379 pupils in the state-owned and municipal schools. The number of the daily commuting pupils is about 230.
The “Sveti Kliment Ohridski” Secondary School in the town of Elhovo admits pupils in profiled divisions with entrance after the 7th class in the following profiles: Mathematics and English, or in unprofiled divisions with entrance after the 8th class. The vocational training is performed in the vocational secondary schools in the town of Elhovo and the village of Boyanovo in three fields: Light Industry, Machinery Construction and Farming. The two vocational secondary schools admit not only pupils from the Elhovo municipality, but also from the two neighbouring municipalities - Bolyarovo and Topolovgrad.
The Municipal Children's Centre with 418 pupils in 20 groups functions for the development of the interests, capacities and inclinations of the schoolchildren.
281 pedagogical specialists work in the educational system of the Elhovo municipality. 39 of them are bearers of professional- qualification degrees.
